Cat On a Hot Tin Roof!

I just recently saw an excellent non-musical production on Broadway... "Cat On a Hot Tin Roof" is one of those plays that have characters that most actors dream of playing. Each character deals with universal struggles and trials. To see a play like this which is usually performed by white actors performed by blacks makes me feel like I have some sort of place in the business where I can play a MAN and not just a BLACK MAN. All of the actors did exceptional Jobs...but Anika, Anika, Anika was EXCELLENT. She leaves her mark on the role of Maggie (the cat in the title). It was her time to shine. You may remember her for her role as Lorell from the film "Dreamgirls"(Eddie Murphy's love interest). Aside from Anika's presence all of the actors did exceptionally well espescially Terrence Howard of "Hustle and Flow" who is making his Broadway debut with this role. Did I mention I got to meet most of the cast after the show with the exception of James Earl Jones (Mufasa & Darth Vader)While signing my program Anika flirted with me. They where all very nice especially Phylicia Rashad of "The Cosby Show" I mentioned that I hoped to work with her in the future...Lets hope it happens shall we?

Tammi Lorraine!

Okay, so there is no better way to take a break from me talking about myself than to watch another member of my gorgeous family post a blog..... Her name is Tammi Lorraine and she is someone who has a budding career in broadcasting in Los Angeles. I love the way she speaks she is honest to the point and just down right funny... I got my first film role! / Just the summer?

I got my first film role...FINALLY! I don't think I'll be cut out this time around. I want more but I can't get it cuz I'm only here for a certain amount of time... The jobs I speak of in the video are summer jobs not acting jobs.

I finally have decided that I am willing to share some of my characters(not all of them). I decided to beat them to the punch as far as introducing them is concerned. They will post Vlogs of their own in the future but before you see them in action, I think you should know what these gentlemen are all about Name: Richard Alias: Bossy Brit He's Not the nicest guy...but you would definately want him to be on your side. Comming Back From School!

These are just some pics of me and some friends hanging around in NYC during my first weekend back here in NYC!!!!! It was the middle of may and VERY COLD outside...

This past Tuesday I had the pleasure of seeing ...

This passed Tuesday I had the pleasure of seeing Lawrence Fishburne portray Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall in a highly entertaining 90 minute one man show. His perfomance provided me with a whole new level of respect for him as an actor. He had humor, excitement, and sad moments with no one to play off of. Lawrence played that part to the best of his ability. I admire Mr. Fishburne even more for his hard work. Not only did he force us to beleive he was Thurgood Marshall but his performance was so natural and smooth that it did not appear to be planned, considering all of the light and sound cues involved in the show. It felt as though Thurgood Marshall was addressing the audience personally while telling his story.

Amiri Baraka's "Slave Ship"

We finally finished running Slave Ship. I am sad that it is over and I am also relieved. Because that character demanded alot from me mentally and physically, I put my all into it for that moment and I am letting it go for good. I am so proud of the team...and Shannon my director who had faith in our production even when authority figures and classmates doubted us. Our cast worked very hard and continued to have emotional consistency throughout each production. We did our best and it showed. I could speak for most of those who were involved and say that we did not expect people to react the way they did.
